JPS Labs SHOW REPORT
(Please hover your mouse pointer over pictures for more insight)
Well, early September was time for another show, and every year CEDIA grows in popularity as one of the finest trade shows in the USA for home theater and automation, as well as dealer and installation educational courses.

This years show was held in Indianapolis, Indiana, and definitely drew a crowd. JPS combined forces with TAW Home Theater Products, TACT Audio electronics, and Talon Loudspeakers.

The picture quality was stunning, thanks to the TAW 'ROCK', software driven video processor (sorry there is no picture of the screen, videophites cannot stand the light of our flash:). You should see the menu settings and adaptability on that bad boy- WOW! TAW claims that although their 8 inch CRT projector is very good, the image quality on the Stewart screen was mostly due to the ROCK video processor and powerful software algorithms and continuous adjustment toward video resolution, upsampling from the 480 DVI out of their new DVD player up to 1080 to the specially modified projector while correcting typical video errors other processors can not. They tell me that they can even do software upgrades and modifications to fit custom applications over the net- now that's cool! All I can say is that that big excellent picture grew on me, and the Lost In Space movie never looked so good...

Tact Audio displayed their electronics might with a completely digital audio system up to our speaker cables. Their new 10 channel surround sound processor with integrated digital PC based room sound correction was a stunningly versatile piece, allowing 10 channels of processing power from a single digital cable in, then out to their digital amplifies also in the digital domain! Some very cool stuff...

Mike from Talon was showing how good multi-channel audio should sound with his line-up of very well made loudspeakers. These products have a fit and finish anyone would die for. If your in the market to integrate form and function within your home, these guys make some very nice sounding furniture to say the least...

I should mention that the whole room was wired with JPS Labs Superconductor FX Digital cables and RCA interconnects (up to 8 meters long!), UltraConductor and Superconductor+ speaker cables, and of course a full compliment of our Power AC Outlets Centers supplied the room from the mains all around, while JPS Power AC cords handled the amplifiers, Digital AC cord for the audio processor, and Video AC cords for the DVD player, ROCK video processor, and CRT projector.
Took a peek in the Definitive Technology room, cool as usual...

Till next show, take care...
